Patrik Daniel scores a hard-fought victory in the eleventh round of the Day Motorsports points series
10/19/24 – Cleveland, Texas | With a $1000 dollar bounty on him, points leader Patrik Daniel scored a hard-fought victory in the eleventh round of the Day Motorsports point series when the Southern States Modifieds invaded the 105 Speedway Saturday.
After a couple of aborted starts, Daniel got the advantage over AMS Racing pole sitter Keith Meek at the drop of the green flag and led the first two laps until Daniel got loose in the first turn that allowed Tommy Rascoe to get by.
Rascoe held Daniel off for a couple of laps but Daniel eventually strangled the lead away on the very top of the track on lap seven of the 25-lapper aboard the Lloyd Family Racing Bicknell to score his ninth win of the season extending the $1,000 bounty on him into the month of November. Rascoe held second after selecting the worst number in the redraw and Caleb Dillard finished third.
Brother Fowlkes finished fourth after starting ninth earning the Shed Road Auto Parts Hard Charger award and Thomas Holt finished fifth.
Richard Holt, Keith Meek, Corey Oltz, Anthony Meek and David Hatton rounded out the top ten.
