Daniel wins his second Southern States Modified feature of the year
Chatham, LA -CHATHAM, LA – After winning the inaugural Southern States Modified feature at 105 Speedway, April 6th in Cleveland Tx., Patrik Daniel took the lead at the start of the 25 lap feature from the outside pole. As Daniel began to open an early lead over fellow Texas driver Jason Ingalls, Anthony Meek was muscling his way toward the front in the Meek Motorsports number 52. Meek worked his way up to fourth by lap five.
The first caution flag flew early after Mike Krompegal came to a stop in turn 3. Caleb Dillard then snatched second away from Ingalls on the restart but Ingalls was able to keep the hard charging Dillard and Anthony Meek behind him.
Daniel went on to win his second Southern States Modified feature of the year. Ingalls was second followed by Dillard, Meek and Keith Badiali. Pole sitter Thomas Holt was sixth and Corey Oltz seventh. After repairs were made from a heat race tangle, Tommy Rascoe finished eighth. Timothy Holt and James Griffin rounded out the top ten.
