Daniel Wins His Third Southern States Modified Feature of the Year
CLEVELAND, TX – After a month long hiatus, the drivers of the Southern States Modified Series made their way back to the 105 Speedway in Cleveland, Texas for round 4 of the Day Motorsports point series.
From the pole Texas racer Patrik Daniel jumped out to the lead when the green flag waved but it didn’t last long as the caution flag was displayed on the opening lap when Brother Fowlkes lost his left front wheel.
The race got back underway with Daniel once again pulling away from the field. While Daniel worked around the low side and continued to add laps as the leader, spectacular racing was going on throughout the field with no position safe.
Anthony Meek chased Daniel throughout the contest but settled for runner-up honors while Caleb Dillard, Keith Badaili and Tommy Rascoe completed the top five. Finishing sixth through tenth were Corey Oltz, Thomas Holt, Richard Holt, Keith Meek and David Forbis.
The Southern States Modifieds will be back in action on July 20th at the 105 Speedway for Race No 3. of the Day Motorsports point series.
